An opportunity to be part of a team who support small business owners, individuals, families, seniors with digital and technology - whilst still having plenty of time to enjoy all of the other activities you have in your life.

Stay In Touch has been operating for over eleven years assisting small business owners, families, seniors and home users with device and internet device, setting up, technical support, troubleshooting, digital transformation, cloud and email hosting…and training.  Not just techies, not just trainers, Stay In Touch provide a holistic approach to ensure all areas are covered, technology improves our clients’ processes and lifestyle, contingency plans are in place if something goes wrong, and our clients are trained on how to manage their setup in terms they understand.

We enter our clients’ location (physically or remotely), review our clients’ entire phone, internet and technology setup, formulate a plan to clean up and consolidate their data, synchronise their devices, reduce their phone and internet bills, ensure reliable backups and security within their business and/or family, and train individuals and groups.

Since 2010 we have helped over 10,000 people improve their lives and business using digital, driving positive outcomes, improving processes and collaboration, reducing loneliness, supporting basic digital skills, health and wellbeing.  We pride ourselves in offering a personalized, caring and nurturing approach.

Word continues to spread about Stay In Touch and we are on a mission to help more Australians.  In order to achieve this, it is critical that we find an IT Support Consultant with digital, technology and training skills that we will train on our processes and who is committed to be part of the team for a minimum of two years.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking to recruit a permanent part-time on casual hours to train and assist our small business and home office clients - and help with home, families and seniors when required.

We are looking for people who are motivated to help our clients with both the quick fixes and troubleshooting, AND provide advice on their entire digital and technology landscape, where they can benefit from improvements and formulate a plan to do this in small stages.

Critically you will have strong communication and training skills, and offer the personal credibility to engage with a wide spread of clients around technology and digital services and training.

You will also have a good understanding of setting up devices, email setup, cloud and cyber security to help our small business clients – we will train you on our processes – and a good understanding across digital and technology devices to help our home users.

Some of the work you will be doing for small business:

  • Digital and IT needs assessment

  • Prepare a digital engagement plan

  • Organising domain and email hosting

  • Migrating emails to exchange

  • File consolidation, migration and backup to cloud

  • Back up and business continuity strategy

  • Setting up security

  • Troubleshooting IT and device issues

  • Training were required

Some of the work you may also do for home users – families and seniors

  • Upgrading devices and transferring information

  • Setting up backups and synchronising devices

  • Setting up security and running security checks

  • Dealing with ISPs and phone providers on their behalf

Ideally you will be:

  • Proactive and a self-starter

  • Strong commitment to doing what is best for our clients

  • Ability to work independently in a constantly changing environment

  • Good communication skills and an ability to put technology jargon in terms the client can understand

  • Patient, friendly, personable , confident, calm and nurturing manner

  • Confident and resourceful in finding answers to problems within appropriate timeframes

  • Ability to work autonomously in a constantly changing environment

  • Ability to adapt to different situations

  • Desire to keep up to date with latest technology trends

  • Your own laptop or computer and an iPad or Samsung tablet

  • Your own car

This is a role where you will be paid for the client work performed.  We provide the training on our processes, you will be part of the Stay In Touch team and will continue to receive ongoing training and support.

This is ideal if you are available throughout the week but do not want something full time, rather on a part-time or casual basis.   You could be a parent looking for work during certain hours, semi-retired, or have another part time job and wanting to fill the hours.

Due to the training involved, and the client relationships that you will establish, we are looking for a minimum two year commitment with this arrangement.
